When I first read the book, it pretty much bored me to death. I had read so many books with a main character similar to Elena. I didn't immediately see a change her character so I was disappointed. After I moved on the other books and came back to this one, I was more content with it.
What was your first reaction to reading The Awakening/ The Struggle?

Just finished the collection of the first two books. Gotta say I really liked the. I can totally see the different between the book & the show. I still like both alot. There are a few things I like in the show better and vise versa. For instance I like Elena in the show way better than in the book. She just seems so selfish and rude in the book. Same goes for Caroline but way worse. Like I don't really even like caroline in the book right now, but in the show she's one of my favorite. Well i already got the second book collection that contain The Furry & Dark Reunion, and i cain't wait to read it. i am excited to see how Elena tuns out to be as a vampire, and I honestly don't think it's Damon who killed Elena. i think katherine's still alive. I mean i don't see her really being dead if she's not in the show, but who knows I may be wrong. One things for sure I am going right now to read The Furry
